Breathwork and Emotional Processing with Vanessa Benzan-Monteiro | Flow Breathwork Facilitator Student Spotlight Series

Meet Vanessa @vanessa_sujey

๐ŸŒŸ Vanessa is an entrepreneurial social worker who makes it a point to sprinkle a bit of the woo into her practice. She serves as a connecting essence, focusing on community building and creating spaces for melanated women.

Vanessa says:

  • As melanated women, we're not necessarily taught how to move through our emotions.

  • The more you move through your emotions, it will feel better in the future, or it'll feel less painful, less uncomfortable.

  • I really want to create a space where we're not just aware of our emotions intellectually, but that we're moving them through our body through the breath.

  • Breathwork works beautifully and even more powerfully when we do it together.

We had a powerful chat about:

๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ The struggle that women feel to rush through processing their emotions

๐Ÿ˜– The hustle and push that our society places around feeling emotions

๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ How breathwork helps to create space to allow emotions to arise and be processed
