Holistic Therapy, Breathwork, and Living Deliberately with Caroline Bailey The Playground Podcast

In Ep. 95 of The Playground Podcast: Holistic Therapy, Breathwork, and Living Deliberately, we spoke with Holistic Therapist Education and Integrative Wellness practitioner, Caroline Bailey, about decolonizing wellness, how she blends holistic tools in a clinical world, and what it means to live deliberately.

Caroline first used meditation as a resource to stay grounded, stay sane and receive clarity. After attending one of Shanila’s breathwork classes and releasing stagnant emotions in her body, she knew this was the modality to learn.

As a therapist, she is aware of how important it is to access trauma that’s stored in the body. Having this experience along with knowing intellectually how important it is in accessing trauma, she became a believer pretty quickly and decided to get trained in breathwork, sound healing, embodied mentorship, and intuitive entrepreneurship through AlwaysPlay Studios.

“There’s huge room and need to incorporate ancient practices that have been in existence for thousands of years in indigenous cultures.”

Breathwork is being integrated in clinical settings. It is being used in family & marriage counseling. Therapists can now attend breathwork classes and use it towards their training hours. It is facilitated with clients experiencing anxiety and depression.

What does it mean to live deliberately?

“It’s about maximizing every moment that we've been given. For those of us that have experienced trauma, hardship, and loss of loved ones, it changes the perspective of life, and it reignites this need to live life to the fullest and also to live life well.”
