REPLAY: Belongingness Breathwork with Shanila Sattar

.

I wonder when this concept even came to us, the idea of belonging. And why we crave it so much.

What's “belonging” anyway? Do you feel this pull within you these days? Has a part of you that doesn't feel like you “fit in" been getting louder and louder and asking to be seen?

I totally get that this is frustrating. Myself coming to the United States as an immigrant, navigating different cultures, societal expectations, transitioning from a world of research science, and now teaching breathwork facilitators and mentoring aspiring healers… Sometimes it feels like there isn't a place for me.

I'm too much of this thing and not enough of the other. I have to code switch. I have to acclimate. I have to be the one to always figure out how I can be understood.

But the more that I grow into myself, I begin to understand that these are all my super powers. The ability to experience life from so many different perspectives and being able to integrate it to inspire thousands of people to be able to do the same.

Come home to yourself.
